Good Fruit Co. new artist, Promise, brings fans his new EP “Tellavision.” Within this project, Promise “promises” to paint a vision of a generation defined not by societal pressures, but rather by something far better and worthwhile. He definitely starts the album off in this direction with the infectious “Right Now.” The production and hook alone creates a vibe that leads the listener to be in the zone. It’s a great track to start the album and Crystal Nicole does a great verse of understanding the proper perspective we should have in life, as we are striving to live our lives. Promise illustrates the various stories within alleys with the all star featured “Alleyway.” He gives an ode to hip hop and music with substance on “Cliches & Trends” with Da Truth. Promise ends the album full circle with “Who You Are” with guest verses from No Malice and MC Jin.
This is a great EP. Promise delivers on the production on every track. Not only does it sound current and trendy, but the actual music ministers to your spirit. Within the lyrics, Promise does three big “E’s” within every verse. He makes sure that he exhorts into the lives of the listeners, explains why we should focus on God and our purpose in life and enhances the idea that great features produce great tracks. Promise’s “Tellavision” is a project every hip hop fan should watch for. Spread The Soup!
