Hello everyone and welcome to the end of the year lineup, when putting together this list it was hard to narrow it down to just 10 artists because CHH has had such an amazing run this year.
This year more than ever it felt like CHH really took off with all kinds of artists killing it and just having an amazing year, I narrowed it down to the following 10 artists because in my opinion they had the best year/run in CHH.
Starting off at number 1 we have nobigdyl., I chose dyl for many reasons, first he’s released 3 albums this year not including his work with indie tribe. Having quite the successful year both albums and touring wise, nobigdyl. has had the perfect year and he got the opportunity to perform at Rolling Loud.
No one’s doing it like dyl, who managed to surpass a million monthly listeners, kicking off 2025 by joining Hulvey on his All For You tour as well as headlining the annual Holy Smoke festival, nobigdyl. has quite the year lined up.
At number two we have Torey D’Shaun, having joined with indie tribe in 2023 Torey had quite the year, releasing his debut album Come And See, and being a part of indie tribe’s EP they dropped this year entitled INDIE500.
The release of his debut album saw Torey not only go from 700k to 1 million monthly listeners but also received rave reviews from numerous people and CHH media outlets declaring Come And See AOTY. I can’t wait to see what 2025 has in store for Torey as this year was a great year for him.
Coming in at number three we have DJ Mykael V, hot off the release of the much anticipated BODEGA 2, Mykael has had quite the year touring and music wise, from DJing for nobigdyl. on KB’s Glory Nights Tour to performing his own super set at Holy Smoke festival.
All the way up to dropping one of the hardest albums of the year, BODEGA 2, 2024 has been a crazy year for Mykael and I can’t wait to see what 2025 has in store.
At number four we have Anike, fka Wande, on July 3rd the artist known as Wande decided to change her name to Anike.
This was the name she felt led to go by publicly, while her old name had ties to reincarnation this new name that she chose has ties to God with her full new middle name meaning the Goodness of God.
On August 30th she released her self titled debut album under her new name, with features from fellow Reach members such as Hulvey, Lecrae, Limoblaze and WHATUPRG among others.
This album was not only the perfect debut for the new direction in life Anike was going but it also marked one of my favorite albums of the year.
With 2024 being quite the eventful year for Anike I can’t wait to see what next year has in store for her.
Coming in at number five is none other than the young Florida based CHH artist known as Vennisay, having discovered his music earlier this year Venni quickly became one of my favorite artists, not only releasing consistently but also the quality matching the level of consistency.
Having released two albums, one EP and 35 singles, 2024 was quite the busy year for Vennisay as we saw him release a single a week for almost the entire year, only stopping to take breaks in between projects.
Vennisay is one of those rare artists that connects instantly with the listener, with Godly lyrics, a unique sound, catchy beats and a wide variety of sounds and collabs with other artists, Venni is on pace to becoming one of the top CHH artists.
With 2024 being such a busy year for Vennisay, I’m more than excited to see what next year has in store for him and I couldn’t be prouder to see the impact he’s making.
Coming in at number six we have the one and only, the Legend Himself, SiahThyLegend, Siah in my opinion has had the best year of his career this year. Having been there since the beginning of Siah’s career I couldn’t be prouder of how far he’s come and how much he’s overcome to get to where he’s at now.
From releasing his debut album entitled i’m not a rapper., to having the opportunity to perform at Outlandish Fest as well as several other places and tours, 2024 has been quite the year for Siah.
Having gotten the opportunity to not only play his song “Sharpen That Axe” at his school’s pep rally he also got the opportunity to lead the entire school in prayer.
Gearing up to release his last song of the year and what I find to be one of his best and most personal songs yet on December 19th, I can’t wait to see what next year has in store for the young legend.
At number seven we have the man himself, A3, Aiden better known by his stage name A3 is quite the busy guy, being one of the members of the CHH super group HEAVENONEARTH, as well as recording his own music and doing features. 2024 saw the release of his project called SACRED CALLiNG, it would go on to be confirmed later that A3 crafted this entire project as a cover up for the real album he was working on.
Sonically and lyrically SACRED CALLiNG presents A3 at his best, bringing together a mix of bangers and deep personal tracks, SACRED CALLiNG has something for everyone as we see Aiden come to terms with his calling in life.
Having gotten to perform at Holy Smoke festival twice, once as part of HEAVENONEARTH and twice alongside his brother 350 as himself as a special guest on DJ Mykael V’s super set and having recently gotten engaged 2024 was quite the year for A3. With much more planned for next year, I can’t wait to see where 2025 takes A3 to.
At number eight we have 3-5 from the eastside better known as 350, Michael “350” is quite the busy person and artist, having dropped his own project this year entitled 3: Does Anyone Know You’re Going This Way? and he even got the opportunity to completely reimagine and re-record nobigdyl.’s album the people we became, entitled the people we became (reimagined).
We had the opportunity to experience dyl’s album in a brand new day as well a brand new song called “Buzzin” which featured 350 on it.
When he’s not busy being a dad and a husband, 350 can be found frequently working on new music, whether it’s solo music, working on music with his brother A3, working on new music with HEAVENONEARTH or just working on friends music. 2024 has been quite the year for 350 and I can’t wait to see what next year has in store for him.
At number nine we have Jackie Hill Perry, one of best mcs and pens in the game, Jackie is no rookie when it comes to CHH having made her debut in 2014. However new fans might not remember her from her Humble Beast days, when Jackie announced earlier this year that she was signing with Reach Records and dropped her first single in 4 years entitled “First Draft” fans were ecstatic to see Jackie return.
Following up “First Draft” she went on to release her debut EP Practice under Reach Records on October 18th, jam packed with 8 songs we find Jackie arguably at her best, spitting fast and intricate rhymes, we are reminded of just how lethal her pen game is, making her one of the best artists in CHH.
And coming in at 10 and wrapping up this list we have Childlike CiCi, CiCi has been making quite the name for herself despite only being in CHH for two years, having gotten her start in 2022. When CiCi announced earlier this year that she was signing with one of the biggest Christian labels to exist— Capitol CMG Records, fans were excited to see CiCi continue to advance as an artist.
With the announcement of her signing also came the announcement of her brand new debut EP entitled It’s Time, kicking off the release with the single of the same name featuring CHH veteran KB.
Fans had previously spotted KB and CiCi in Tampa, Florida riding around in a cybertruck for the music video for “It’s Time”. With so many artists having such a great year this year I wanted to take the time to include three female CHH artists who in my opinion had their best year yet. Whether it was announcing label deals, new music, or name changes 2024 has been quite the year for these successful and talented ladies and I can’t wait to see what 2025 has in store for them.
