New Single Release | SO IAM | Last Friday Remix

SO IAM is back with his latest single release ” Last Friday Remix”

SO IAM started his rap journey as a joke, handing out flyers for a debut album that didn’t exist during his senior year of high school. In his freshman year at ASU, he began recording raps in his dorm room as an outlet while slipping deeper into a party lifestyle. After tearing his ACL, he turned to rap more seriously, eventually dropping out to pursue music full-time. He became a fixture in AZ’s hip-hop scene as a rapper & producer, releasing projects, producing for Knoc-turn’al, & opening for Camp Lo. In 2007, SO IAM collaborated with Scary Kids Scaring Kids on their Punk Goes Crunk cover of “Notorious Thugs,” which has over 1.1 million streams.

In 2008, after years of struggling with drugs and alcohol, God brought him back to faith, reigniting his mission to share stories of redemption. He released CHH projects, including 357 and S.O.I.A.M., also becoming known for freestyle skill and unique cadence in local cyphers. By 2010 he reluctantly stepped away, seeking stability through his degree and corporate life but continued producing, landing a placement on MTV’s Buckwild and tracks featuring Glasses Malone, Murkemz, & Crip Mac.

Now, SO IAM returns as a “prodigal prophet,” embracing his calling with urgency to wake a spiritually sleeping generation. His comeback song, Last Friday, recounts God’s grace pulling him back from disaster. His upcoming EP, Prodigal Prophet, blends raw truth, 90s influences, & modern twists, offering listeners redemption & purpose through Christ.
