Last week, Scott Free, the Founder of City Takers and director of Freestyle Missions, celebrated 10 years of ministry with City Takers! City Takers is a Hip Hop church service that continues to have an impact through urban culture in Atlanta on every fourth friday. They have had artists from Lecrae to Urban D come and perform. They even had a conference a few years back that taught other artists and ministers of the gospel how to be City Takers in their community. I actually attended and it changed my life.
Whether you realize it or not, City Takers has influenced the CHH culture for the last decade! Many of your favorite artists have come through on that stage or have worked with Scott free before. More importantly than that, City Takers has been responible for several lives coming to know God, City Takers radio, Homeless outreach (Socktober is excellent) and many more things as well.
