We are living in times where wherever you live, there is violence and turmoil. With all the recent events that have been happening, it seems like no place is safe. I remember feeling like that in the past and remember a song/video that gave me a sense of hope. It came from L.P. (Like Paul) with ” I know a place”.
Sampling The Sample Singer’s “I’ll take you there“, L.P. helps make a creative way for believers to have faith and patience on seeing heaven. What I love about the video, is that L.P. uses downtown Birmingham, Alabama as the video location. At the time of the video shoot, Birmingham was known as having a homicide a day! So, showing the beautiful side of the city during the video was a bonus. The hook is straight scripture of what we shall be doing when we get to heaven, so it was only fitting for L.P. to have several dance scenes within the video. I also like how L.P. is giving out tickets to “this place” symbolizing his mission witnessing (we also see him wearing all white as well).
At the end of the day, this is a classic CHH video. It has great production, a great and creative sample, great lyrics and shows the unity and power of the church within the community. L.P. isn’t ashamed of telling us about this place he knows and by the end of the video… you want to meet him there. Spread The Soup!
