Proverbs 15:22– ” Plans fail for lack of counsel, but with many advisers they succeed.”
Many of us come from dysfunctional families. Whether it was because of divorce or lack of our parents understanding their roles as a spouse/parent , the majority of us (according to several polls, stats and personal experiences) struggle with understanding how to be a spouse or haven’t seen a successful marriage. For myself, I’m coming up on ten years being married in April. With that being said, I don’t personally know too many people around me that have lasted this long within a marriage.
This is why it’s important to seek counsel and advice on marriage. Take marriage counseling, read a book, subscribe to a marriage counseling YouTube channel, surround yourself with people in successful marriages…plan for success. By not planning on progressing your marriage, you are simply asking for it to fail. Find great counsel and advisers to help you and your spouse succeed in your marriage. Spread The Soup!
