Psalms 84:11– “For the Lord God is a sun and shield: the Lord will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly.”
Psalms 84:11 gives a very direct description of who God is for and to us. Let’s break down this verse by looking at what the 3 “S’s” stand for and how God serves us:
- Sun– God will be the light that shines when you feel darkness surrounding you.
- Shield– God will protect you from any attack from the enemy.
- Savior/Saver– Not only did God send us a redeeming Savior, but He is saving all good things for those that follow Him. It is so satisfying to see all the roles God serves us within such a simple verse. When you ever feel down and defeated by the enemy; turn to this verse and remember the “S’s”. Spread The Soup!
