The Panic Room #TBT | Throwback Theology | @triplee @damo_seayn3d @trackstarz

“And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.

Can anything ever separate us from Christ’s love? Does it mean he no longer loves us if we have trouble or calamity, or are persecuted, or hungry, or destitute, or in danger, or threatened with death? (As the Scriptures say, “For your sake we are killed every day; we are being slaughtered like sheep.” ) No, despite all these things, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, who loved us. And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love. No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭8:28, 35-39‬ ‭NLT‬‬

I was listening to Bishop T.D. Jakes the other day and he made a very dope statement. He said, “With every obstacle there is an opportunity.” I’ve been holding on to that all week as we continue to deal with this pandemic of COVID-19 aka Corona Virus aka ‘Rona.  LoL

Some folks are panicking and buying up all the toilet paper. This is a perfect opportunity to share the peace of God that we have as believers. We don’t ignore the instructions of the CDC. That wouldn’t be wise. We have to adjust to the current circumstances, but that doesn’t mean we panic or live in fear. God gives a Spirit of power, love and a sound mind. ‭‭(2 Timothy‬ ‭1:7‬ ‭NLT‬‬) We can think soberly, love on our neighbors and show the love and power of God that is put in our hearts by the Holy Spirit. That is our opportunity to the ones around us.

There is also an opportunity for us inwardly. For us to solidify ourselves in our faith. To grow in our faith and allow God to shape us to be more like Him. We can have confidence in Christ because God is not surprised by Corona. Before there was a virus God had a cure. We can trust Him and no that no weapon formed against us can prosper. (Isaiah‬ ‭54:17‬ ‭NLT‬‬)

Regardless of what happens WE HAVE THE VICTORY IN CHRIST. All things aren’t good, but all things work together for our good when we love God and are called according to His purpose. It is not a lack of faith or a sign of weak faith to follow the guidelines given to us by our government. This is an opportunity to show our faith by our works. Even in this time with everything around us seemingly shutting down we can still take this opportunity to grow in our faith and continue to grow the kingdom of God in the midst of the panic.
