What’s going on everyone!! Man, this week, God has been wrecking my heart around the topic of radical praise. Last Sunday at church, and up to today, God really impressed on my heart how radical His love is for us. The love of God is so beautiful because Jesus not only took the punishment for our death in he cross, but He went into the depths of hell to take back the authority so that we would not have to pay for our sins. We deserve death. We deserve punishment for our sins, but God sent His son to take our place.
I believe with all my heart, that if we really grasp this with our hearts and minds, it will absolutely intensify our praise. We should wake up grateful every single day that we don’t get the sentence that we deserve for our sin. All of our sin was and is nailed to the cross. That’s grace right there. I’m reminded in Scripture where Jesus says, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me (1 Corinthians 12:9). This is so powerful because it shows that we could not and cannot save ourselves. We cannot keep ourselves from hell and from the punishment we deserve. Thank God that He has given us power through the death and resurrection of Jesus.
I challenge us all to be reckless with our praise. To really spend time with God and really praise Him like He has done something miraculous and more than we could ever imagine. He is worthy of that from us. We can’t be afraid to step out of comfort when praising our God for what He has done for us. Be bold and reckless with your praise.
