John Reuben – “Divine Inspiration”| @johnreuben @damo_seayn3d @trackstarz

Good morning! Regardless of where you are or when you’re reading this I say good morning. The SON is shining no matter where you are. It’s a little cliche but I hope to inspire and/or motivate you this week.  If you read last week’s article, we talked about having a higher love and used the song “Higher Love” by Sho Baraka. An encouraging track talking about the change that takes place on the inside of us when Christ comes in. This week we’ll add to that a little bit and talk about divine inspiration.

That thing that God puts in us when He first creates us. It is that breath of life He first breathed into Adam’s corpse that made him a living soul. (Genesis 2:7 http://bible.com/116/gen.2.7.nlt) Prior to that, Adam’s body was lifeless. Then God breathed into Him this inspiration that caused him to live. Jesus said in John 14 that He is the way, the truth and the life. (John 14:6 http://bible.com/116/jhn.14.6.nlt) He also said that He came to give us life. (John 10:10 http://bible.com/116/jhn.10.10.nlt) Even more than that, He is the resurrection. (John 11:25 http://bible.com/116/jhn.11.25.nlt) If it was once alive and is now dead, He can give it life again. Jesus has breathed into us life. He gives us something on the inside that looks to make things alive. He gave us His creative nature to want to make things and literally see them come to life.

Man makes cars, but it’s no good if the car can’t run. We build computer but it’s no good if you hit the power button and nothing happens. I think this is one of the reasons why when God created things in the beginning, He said, “It is good.” He saw what He created come alive. With man it wasn’t good enough for us to be living and breathing. God gave us natural life but He also gave us spiritual life. He gave us purpose. He said I’m going to make something that is just like me. He created us for good works to glorify Him. It’s not just preaching or singing in the choir. God has given you inspiration for a work He wants you to do. It could be to preach or sing or rhyme or make music or to start a business or write plays or movies. That is between you and Him, but He has given you something and it’s your responsibility to use it to help inspire others.

That leads us into our throwback song for this week. It’s by John Reuben and it’s from his 2000 release entitled “Are We There Yet?” John definitely takes us back to some old school boom bap hip hop on this one. The song is entitled “Divine Inspiration.” No matter where you are, you have God’s divine inspiration to move the crowd. Whether it’s in front of a mic or not doesn’t matter. He created you to have an impact.

Check it out and let us know what you think. Until next time…

Peace and blessings.
