I recently sat down with Loso Brown a.k.a. Street Disciple for the “Independent Artist Spotlight”. It was instant chemistry between us. It felt like we were blood brothers catching up on life, only it was the first time we met. You always know you’re in good company when someone moves in the presence and spirit of the Lord, but also makes you laugh and you can have a real conversation with them. That was my first impression of Loso and what I experienced while being in his company.
I recently reviewed “I Will Manifest” by Loso featuring Drew Forty4. The song was released back in June and at the perfect time. It’s a summer banger for sure! The song offered a West Coast vibe that had you moving your feet instantly! You can take me back to the old-school West Coast anytime. Close your eyes and you’d think you were listening to Mack 10 flowing on the beat talking about Jesus! I always say that the hook should set up and define the entire song. When you hear the melodic flow of the hook, you’ll agree mission-accomplished. From Loso to Forty, the bars were incredible. The two complimented each other well and it was an outstanding collab.
