BenRodz’s Artist of the Week: Vennisay
Hello everyone and welcome to the eighth installment in my (BenRodz’s) Artist of the Week series!
Today I have the pleasure of covering an artist I’ve quickly become a big fan of, meet Vennisay a Christian Hip Hop artist who’s been on the rise lately.
Vennis is a young Christian artist hailing out of Florida, with his unique sound, Christ centered lyrics and catchy beats Vennisay is proving himself an artist to be reckoned with.
Having made secular music before he got saved, Vennisay has plenty of experience, having started his journey in CHH towards the end of 2022 with the release of his debut album Reborn In Him, the start of 2023 saw Vennisay drop a single before taking a short break from releasing music.
Vennisay returned a few months later with “Dreadnaughts”, with the release of this song he started to release music consistently going from dropping monthly to dropping weekly.
In April of 2023 Vennisay linked up with his friend and fellow CHH artist Isaac Mansfield to record the single “I THANK GOD”. This song would later go on to be the lead single from their collab album that released on September 22, 2023 entitled OUT THE GRAVE.
Vennisay ended 2023 on a high note, having released a total of 23 singles and the aforementioned collab album OUT THE GRAVE, he entered 2024 on an even higher note, having released 5 singles and an album, Reborn In Him 2, which is a sequel to his debut album from 2022.
With I THANK GOD just hitting 100k streams and more in store for this year, Vennisay is an artist you should check out, garnering attention for his Christian remixes of secular artist Playboi Carti, Vennis has proved that no matter what the genre is he can hop on it with lyrics that point people to God.
