The project fans have been clamoring for is finally here! The joint project between Lecrae and 1K Phew aptly named ‘No Church In A While’ is ten songs of the two emcees having fun and talking about their lives.
This project covers the entire spectrum of emotions. From the single “WILDIN” to the love song to their wives “What We Gon’ Do,” to the titular song “No Church In A While,” the two Atlanta artists lay it all on the table. In the title song both artists speak in their trepidation of attending church. The two treat the booth as a confessional as they speak about why they don’t feel comfortable in the “House of the Lord.”
One of the big misconceptions about reconversion is that folks walk away from Jesus because of Jesus. Many times it’s the people, the church culture and it’s unwritten rules that make people say ‘No Church In A While.’
