Kobe #TBT | Throwback Theology | @amishobaraka @damo_seayn3d @trackstarz

This week we lost an icon in the sports world. Kobe “Bean” Bryant and his 13 year old daughter Gianna died in a helicopter crash. The pain of this loss is being felt all over the world and especially by his family. Tributes to this basketball legend are going up all over to celebrate the impact of his life.

Kobe became more than just a basketball player. He became an icon. Not just because he could run fast, jump high or put a ball in the basket. Basketball was simply a means to an end. It was not just for his own greatness, but impact the world in a way to help make others greater.

This incident not only speaks to the fragility of life but also to the fact that while we are here we should work to be our best so we can help make others better. This is an aspect of the gospel that we believe. To reach people with the love of Christ so that the Spirit of Christ can resurrect their souls and make them into the best version of themselves and glorify God.

So with your life go Kobe on’em. Drop 81 in life for the kingdom and impact the lives of those around you.

That leads us to our Throwback Theology Song of the Week. It comes from Sho Baraka. This is from his 2009 mixtape, “Barakaology.” The featured track is called “Kobe Bryant On ‘Em.” Tune into Trackstarz to hear DJ Jeremaya soon this for the Throwback Theology Song of the Day. RIP to the Black Mamba, GiGi and prayers to his family. Until next time…

Peace and blessings,
Damo
