A Letter to the Unbeliever | @ryanmw92 @trackstarz

What is going on everyone!! Whether you have been tracking with my articles or not, I previously did a series of articles called “Dear Christians”. In this series, I essentially wrote letters from different perspectives. I would write them from Christians, to Christians, and so forth. This week, I want to flip it. I want this letter to be from the perspective of a believer to a non-believer. I hope you all find encouragement from this!!

Dear non-believer,

We Christians aren’t as crazy as you may think. Sure we do weird stuff like lifting our hands and crying, but there is a reason. Our hearts have been wrecked by this amazing love, and we worship out of a response to what God has done for us. We know it looks weird and unnatural, but it honestly is natural.

Dear non-believer,

Not all Christians are those hardcore judgy people. We don’t all walk around judging people because they sin differently than us. Some of us believers actually do love people that believe differently. Just because we believe differently, that doesn’t mean that we are better in any way whatsoever. Let that message ring loudly and clearly.

Dear non-believer

In a lot of cases, we genuinely want you to come to church with us. Not just to be judged, but to experience what real love looks like. We desire for you to see why we believe what we believe, and to ask questions!! Trust me, if we don’t know the answer, we will search it out and be honest.

Dear Christians,

I just want to hold us all accountable. STOP JUDGING PEOPLE WHO DON’T BELIEVE THE SAME AS YOU DO. Show them what true love is, and what compassion looks like. Stop being silent about your faith. Chances are, people want to ask you why you believe what you believe, but stop being timid. “Live your life worthy of being called a Christian” (Philippians 1:27). We can’t be wanting to fight and argue and act like the world and expect the world to want to be like Jesus, because frankly, they don’t see any differences in us.

Much love,

Ryan W.
