“I know all the things you do, that you are neither hot nor cold. I wish that you were one or the other! But since you are like lukewarm water, neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of my mouth! You say, ‘I am rich. I have everything I want. I don’t need a thing!’ And you don’t realize that you are wretched and miserable and poor and blind and naked. So I advise you to buy gold from me—gold that has been purified by fire. Then you will be rich. Also buy white garments from me so you will not be shamed by your nakedness, and ointment for your eyes so you will be able to see. I correct and discipline everyone I love. So be diligent and turn from your indifference.”

As many other people did this weekend I went and saw “The Black Panther.” I had a great time. I went and saw it twice. I have to say from own personal experience and from the response of others it is definitely bringing a vibe of unity. A good shot of energy much needed in society right now. I have to say even as a Black man, it has Black people feeling good about being Black again.
Real talk with all of the shootings and the sudden resurgence of racism, we have something making waves that highlights us as culture that is positive. As of late, it has seemed that we have had to choose sides over multiple issues and it has been a bad thing. Trump or Hillary. People have looked at that as picking the lesser of 2 evils. Do you support this policy or the other? Are you in support of the LGBT community or not?
Everything has been divisive. Whatever side you chose seemed to say something bad about you. Nobody wants to look bad so some choose a neutral position. I’m not really to the right, but I’m not all the way to the left either. I’m not up, but I’m not down. Jesus put it are you hot or cold? Whatever you pick you should be convinced, because you picked it. It was your choice. Ideally you would pick what is right, because even God when giving you choices tells you the best way to go.
He puts life and death, blessings and curses before all of us. God tells us to choose life so that we and our seed or the generations after you may live. In the words of the late Billy Graham, “Remember God loves you.” No matter what you choose, it does not change God’s love for you. Heaven and Hell are your choice while you’re here on this earth. God has made access to His thrown available through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. It’s up to you. Rather than be cold God wants you on fire for Him.
That leads us to our Throwback Song of the Week. We’re headed to Chi-town to hear Viktory. This is from his 2009 album release “Son of the King.” The track is entitled “Get Hot.” Let’s get on fire for Jesus and light up the world! Tune into Trackstarz this week to hear DJ Jeremaya spin this for the Throwback Song of the Day. Until next time…
Peace and blessings,
Damo
