Whatsup everyone!! Tonight, I was heavily reminded of something. How beautiful the work of Jesus on the cross is, even today in our lives. Life gets busy, between relationships, and jobs and all that we do on a daily basis, it’s so vital that we stop and recognize the beauty of the cross. It’s so crazy to realize that the love of The Father for us became a real, heartbreaking action set into motion to deliver us all from death, and to draw us closer to our Wonderful Savior.
At church on Sunday, we sang a song called “So Will I” by Hillsong, and it’s been on nonstop repeat in my head since. In it, part of the words say, “If you left the grave behind, then so will I”. These words were so powerful. Like we don’t have to be enslaved to the sin that entangles us. We don’t have to surrender to death or defeat because of the cross. Who would have known that blood that ran from a man would be the very aspect that saved us all, including myself. That no matter what we do, we are so greatly Loved. The cross is a significant message that we too can be partakers in the redemptive story of Jesus, and that we have amazing news to tell the world. That on the cross at Calvary, Love was put into action and grace was made available to everyone.
Because Jesus died and resurrected, we have life, and life abundantly. We are a chosen generation to carry the news of the cross to the world. It’s mind blowing that we are so small in comparison to God and everything He made. Even though this is true, we have such a big role to play so that people can see the beautiful grandeur of Him. He’s calling us to Himself, and if the rocks can sing out in praise then so will we. He gave us breath to glorify Him.
I just want to encourage us all in that. That although Jesus dying for us was a brutal event, it is a beautiful picture of the love and amazing grace God showed us. That even though we were sinners, we were still loved by God. We are cherished by the maker of the universe. Let that sink in as we walk through this week!!
Much love,
Ryan W.
