My Introduction To Trackstarz | Damien Seay | @damo_seayn3D @trackstarz

About 2 years ago, I was scrolling through my homepage on YouTube and I came across this video suggestion called “Has Christian Rap Gone Too Far.” I’ve heard this topic or ones similar to it before, but I figured let me see what these guys are talking about. Typically, you see a bunch of older folks discussing stuff like this about younger generations, but it caught my attention that this was a bunch of guys around my age discussing this topic… so I thought it would really be interesting. Especially, since at the time I had never heard of these people or any of the artists sitting at the table.

I really got drawn into the discussion and hearing some young brothers with not only a passion for music, but for the gospel of Christ. I was like, “Okay. Who are these guy?” I clicked the link to their YouTube page and started going through and watching some of their videos. I saw the variety of topics they discussed and I was hooked. I thought here’s another resource for good Christian content that feeds my love for music and also stimulates my mind with great discussions. It didn’t take long before I was on their website, downloading the weekly podcast, following on social media and recommending the show to my friends.

About a year or so into listening to the show, I became apart of the TRACKSTARZ Universe and got to interact with the team even more through Google hangout meetings and I really got to know them and hear their hearts concerning TRACKSTARZ. Then this past summer in May, I was in the Atlanta area visiting some of my family and I had the opportunity to sit in live during the broadcast and meet this great group of saints in person. It was like I was coming to visit some old friends because I had gotten so connected through social media and through being apart of the universe. Despite the distance, me being in Maryland and them being in Georgia, I felt in my heart that this was group I could connect to, because we shared the same passion about getting quality Christian content out into the mainstream for the world to have an experience with Jesus Christ.

I thank God for TRACKSTARZ, the good work they are doing and that I’m able to be apart of helping them further the kingdom of God in the earth. It’s good to be in the field.
