Psalm 143:10- “Teach me to do your will, for you are my God. May your gracious Spirit lead me forward on a firm footing.”
When you come to a point in your Christian walk where you want to truly follow God’s path, you have to do certain things. You have to come to a point of maturity and decide on the path in which you want to go and take. In order to do so, you must have firm footing. This verse helps explain the importance and seriousness within that decision. It gives us two points in finding that footing. First off, we have to have a teachable spirit. Along with being teachable, we have to able to receive God’s word and be willing to do his will. We will not be able to have firm footing, if we don’t even plan to stand for or on the word of God. Secondly, we have to be willing to be led by God. The second part of being led in a forward direction. One of the biggest reasons many Christians aren’t successful executing this verse is from the fact they have issues moving forward with certain situations. We can’t let a person or outcome keep us from moving towards the will of God.
God is waiting to take your burdens and cares away. God is waiting to deliver you from darkness. God is waiting to prosper you through his word. He is simply wanting for you to walk forward to him. If you seek his word, it will give you the weight to have firm footing as you move forward to him and his plan for you. Spread The Soup!
