For Christians, Small Groups are essential with growth in our spiritual walks. It wasn’t until I got to The Church at Chapel Hill that I realized it’s importance. Small groups are a great place to connect with others and at the same time, follow Jesus. Small Groups focus on developing stronger disciples through spending weekly time in the Word, praying together and fellowship. In this group, you share and bear yourself to a group of people you can trust and help you do life together. When you get married, the same principle applies to your spouse.
The smallest small group you should be in is with your spouse. You should strive to be able to share and be a small group with your spouse. By thinking like this, it will help you both to increase trust, communication, respect and growth for both of you. We should never get to the point where we pour out to and/or pour into someone more than our spouse. The same experiences and emotions we feel with our small group, we should feel even more with our spouse. Increase your intimacy with your spouse and start a small group with your spouse.
