John 15:4–“Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself unless it abides in the vine, so neither can you unless you abide in Me.”
I recently shared this idea about truly abiding in God and decided to reshare it with all of you faithful followers of #52verses52weeks .
When we say we “abide in God,” it means so much more than following him. It even goes deeper than resting in him. Abide is where we get the word “abode” which is home, but it also translates to “mansion.” That means when we follow and decide to rest in God, he gives us the BEST place to do so. Many of us are praying for mansions to live in and God is already providing it for you now. When we trust in our own work, our shelter is equal to a cardboard box. When we abide in God, his “shelter” is a mansion (the highest form of a house/foundation to live in). Does your faith determine how your life is “furnished” or does your doubt determine your domain?
