Aaron Ward better known to some as A. Ward battled Saint Mic a little while ago and the battle just dropped on 7/11/2016. This was the main event at “Raise the Bar 2” hosted by The Connects TV and KC Loop. A. Ward has had a very good run, undefeated (and not really challenged) for most of his young battling career, but that changed with this battle.
Ward’s opponent St. Mic is a real battler. I watched two of his previous battles and was just blown away by the skill and wordplay and instantly knew that this battle would be a classic. Looking at the battle you can tell that Ward did his homework and researched Saint Mic before he ever stepped foot in the ring with him. So many good bars were dropped and ran back, it was nothing short of a great battle. A challenge will either make you better or it will crush you. It’s often been said that pressure makes diamonds and that’s exactly what happened. Both emcees laid it all on the line and held nothing back. It wasn’t just the bars that made this battle amazing, it was the little things as well. The body language of both emcees was key and they let each other know when a bar the other spit was dope. You also have to applaud the sportsmanship of Saint Mic because whenever A. Ward spit something really dope, he encouraged the crowd to make more noise. That was amazing to see. This is A.
