Brvndon P//Brvndon P |Album Review |@iambrvndonp @trackstarz

Brvndon P, formally known as Black Knight, is by far one of the top producers in the CHH genre. One thing that really sets himself apart from the others, is he is also a proficient artist. For those of you who may not have been aware of this (myself included), Brvndon is a story teller rapper. As you go down his self titled LP, you get to learn some gruesome and enlightening facts about the artist. From issues his mom had to go through to fight the thought of aborting him, to finding out little things like Brvndon has been messing around with sounds and beats since he was a baby. As the LP progresses, it’s very interesting to hear the highs, lows and current mental state of Brvndon.

Lyrically there is nothing dangerously ambitious with his wordplay, just clear bars describing a point in time (depending on the song). The biggest strong suits for this project are the beats and most of all the choruses. Like I said earlier, Brvndon is a producer and being able to make his own beats really helps him grasp a sound that lets him play around with his vocals. To be blunt, this whole project is just one big ear worm. Once you hear most of the songs, they become instantly recognizable in their own way. Even as I’m writing this now, I can easily play my favorite tracks in my head over and over again without playing them on my phone. This album doesn’t really bring anything too different to the table in terms of lyrical themes, but the way this album is produced is what makes this such a great hip hop album. To end this, I have to say that if you are a Brvndon P (Black Knight) fan and have enjoyed his previous work, then you will love this new project. If you are someone like me and have not really heard of him as an artist before, this is a great album to begin with. My personal highlights on the album are “Limitless,” “Over the Clouds,” and “Soul Cry.”
