A commonly misconstrued thought of common leaders is that they must always be doing all the teaching. Sure they are usually serving as a mentors to others, but they must also be in learning mode. In life, if something is not growing, then it is closer to dying. This is true of living organisms, businesses, and even our minds. It is important to learn and grow throughout life. Once doctors graduate from medical school, they must continue to take continuing education courses to stay aware of the latest developments in medicine. Every other company should do the same. Continue to grow in your field and find some people who can mentor you or at least follow some leaders who you can learn from. It will only help you as you are leading or learning to become a leader in your organization. If you feel like you do not have anything else to learn, then you may want to check your pride. Usually it is the pride talking and pride comes before the fall.
