We as business owners can learn a key principle from Sampson in the Old Testament that should be applied to our businesses. Sampson was a leader of his people. He was the judge of his time and people looked to him for guidance and strength. Im not going to go into deep details about his story, as you can look it up in scripture. This is not a theology lesson or an explanation of how everything is to be interpreted from the story. I do, however, want to point out an idea that we should keep in our minds. As business leaders, we are the heads of our company. Sampson’s hair was the covering of his head that showed as a physical representation of his covenant to God. The hair covered the head of the people of that time. When that covering was removed, the strength was lost.
We as Christians and business leaders need to make sure we are under Christ’s covering in all that we do. If we live under Him, we will remain strong for He is the source of our strength. If we do not remain in covenant with Him and ignore the Holy Spirit, then we will fall and take our business with us. Never remove your trust from Jesus and place it anywhere else. It is important that He lead you as you lead your people.
