1 Corinthians 15:57-“but thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.”
This is a verse that should give any and every believer everlasting joy! What I love is how this verse establishes a relationship formula that we should use always, use with God and then to everyone else. This formula is “A + A= A” which means “application plus appreciation equals agreement“. Within the verse, we see that God has applied (two definitions of the word “apply” are to “use for a special purpose” and “the act of requesting“) our victory through the death and resurrection of His Son, our Lord Jesus Christ. Because of that, we should show our appreciation to them for that. This brings forth agreement and unity within your spirit, house and everywhere you go!
Many times we feel an absence from the Holy Spirit or from God, because we forget to give God thanks. We will also begin to see less victories, because we are putting our trust in ourselves rather than God. This equation also works with our family, friends and co workers. When someone gives to us, we should give thanks back to them for helping us. But we should ALWAYS go to God first and use the “A+A=A” equation! Spread The Soup!
