Swoope, Collision Split – No Love Lost #TrackstarzUniverse

After two studio releases, Swoope and Collision Records are parting ways.

This split is an amicable one with Collision CEO Adam Thompson citing Swoope as a “…talented artist, but much more, he is a great person of character.”  Thompson acknowledges that he always knew that Swoope’s call to ministry was beyond music and now the time has come for maturation.

Swoope, Collision’s very first artist, took a chance with Collision (as the owners report) only having $150 to their names when they signed him.  The gamble worked, and they have grown to have a seemingly genuine relationship. Swoope went on to contribute to many – if not all of Collision’s work as a producer.

Swoope’s statement shared the same love as Thompson’s, “I’ve got nothing but love for the guys at Collision…I wish them all the success possible. It really isn’t just a label-it’s a lifestyle.”

Neither side has reported any hard feelings or animosity of any kind.  They did have their differences but reportedly came to the resolution to release Swoope from the label.

Swoope is scheduled to perform at several stops with Lecrae on his Higher Learning Tour this spring.
