“Her children stand and bless her. Her husband praises her: “There are many virtuous and capable women in the world, but you surpass them all!” Charm is deceptive, and beauty does not last; but a woman who fears the Lord will be greatly praised. Reward her for all she has done. Let her deeds publicly declare her praise.”
Proverbs 31:28-31 NLT
To all of the mommas out there:
It’s that wonderful time of year that we celebrate that woman that woman that pushed us out into this world, clothed, fed us and maybe even slapped us around a little when we were acting a fool. WE LOVE YOU MAMA!!! We love you for all of it. You encouraged us, you gave us wisdom, you fussed at us when we needed it, but most of all you loved us more than we’ll ever know. You weren’t perfect, but God made you perfectly for us. For that we are grateful.
Forgive us for all of the dumb things we’ve said and done thinking we knew better than you. When you clearly were trying to lead us in the right direction. It was another opportunity for you to teach us and to help make us into the men and women we’ve become today. Again, we thank you.
As I said before you’re not perfect. No human being is, but you did your best and you have been awesome. We are grateful.
For those who may not have known your mom at all because she left you or she passed away. Or maybe you have a bad relationship with her. Just know that God is faithful. He can be that parent you felt like you never had. Also, He can provide people that can help fill that void and show you the love you feel like you’ve missed. God desires to make all of us whole and compete in Christ. No woman or man can stop the purpose and plan God has for you.
That leads us to our Throwback Song of the week. We’re headed to the Lou to the homie Thi’sl. This is from his 2011 release entitled “Beautiful Monster.” The track is entitled “Hey Momma.” This is of course for all of mothers and mother figures out there. We love you. Tune in to the Trackstarz show this week to hear DJ Jeremaya spin this for the Throwback Song of the Day. Until next time…
Peace and blessings,
Happy Mother’s Day from the Trackstarz Writing Team
