Tunnel Rats – “Line Finish”/”Tripped Over A Dream”| @theogtunnelrats @damo_seayn3d @trackstarz

This week we crowned our 2017 NBA Champions. Congratulations to the Golden State Warriors. They persevered through a long season. Some would say they breezed through the playoffs with a 16-1 record and won the title. I’ll save that topic for my brothers on the Debate Fuel podcast. LoL. The point is: they faced obstacles all season to have their hands raised in victory as champions.

I’m sure they had times like we do where they felt like quitting. Like we just want to give up on any and everything. Career, ministry, politics, relationships or even life itself. We know we can’t or that we shouldn’t, but that doesn’t stop the fact that we feel that way inside. Life just gets hard and it tests our resolve to keep going.

The easy road is to just back down and give up. That is what the enemy would like us to do. Just to give in to our weaknesses and not dig our heels in and keep fighting. The thing to understand is that we as Christians aren’t exactly like the Golden State Warriors. They were fighting FOR a crown. We fight because we already have the crown. Our position is a place of victory that Christ has already given to us.

God has placed gifts, talents, abilities and visions inside of us. God has given us the strength to use them for His glory to benefit others. What has God placed in you? What dreams, visions or ideas has He given you? Are you walking in it? Are you using it to the best of your ability to glorify God and bless others? God has put something in you and the enemy is trying to discourage you from using what God gave you. Take that dream and pound the devil in the face with it and be a blessing to those around you.

That leads us to not one, but 2 throwback tracks this week. They are from the legendary Tunnel Rats crew. If you’re not familiar with them, this is the where we first heard rapper/spoken word artist Propaganda. These songs are from their 2001 release entitled “Tunnel Vision.” As I worked on this article, I felt these 2 songs really spoke to theme continuing with your goals until the finish.

The first track is “Line Finish” featuring members Sev Statik, Elsie and Jurny Big. The second track is “Tripped Over A Dream” featuring members Jurny Big, Elsie, Zane and Dax. Check them out and let us know what you think. Until next time…

Peace and blessings.
