Think it’s a Game Album Review |@Toddbangz @Chicangeorge @Trackstarz

One thing that you rarely see are artists that make double book albums. One of the reasons why we don’t see them as often, may come from the risk factor. Many artists run the risk of not having enough solid content and the double book album falls flat because you would rather take both discs and made one really good project. One artist that took the risk was Todd Bangz with his “Think it’s a game” album.

One of the best tracks on the album was the album titled track “Think it’s a game.” What was so powerful about this track was how prophetic and sensitive Todd Bangz was with his audience. His strong deep voice matches the strong and deep areas he tackles within this track. It’s funny how it feels like a diss track to the world and lazy Christians, but still feels like it’s rooted in love.

On the first disc you could find some bangers with “Starz-N-Stripes” and “God iz Watching.”  As we venture to the second disc, tracks “Industry Puppets” and “Sad Winner” keep the stream rolling with the album. The risk definitely pays off for Todd with this project. The production has that Jus Blaze/Roc A Fella feel to it through out the project and doesn’t disappoint. With all of the hard-hitting lyrics and nice wordplay, Todd possibly could’ve went for a third disc!

This is a very unique project and throwback theology selection. It shows that CHH artists can make double book albums and have enough subject matter to speak on and not bore fans/listeners. With all that said, you can take away that the ministry and showing the love of God isn’t a game for Todd Bangz! Spread The Soup!
