The Holy Place | @ryanmw92 @trackstarz

What’s going on everyone!! I hope the week is going well so far. It’s crazy, God has been blowing my mind lately in regards to reverence and how the presence of God is a holy place. It’s not just a feeling or emotion, but it’s a place of power and confidence that we live from.

I’m reminded of the story of Moses and the burning bush (Exodus 3). In this story, Moses had an encounter with God. We see that God is telling Moses, “Do not come near; take your sandals off your feet, for the place on which you are standing is holy ground (Exodus 3:5). This blew me away as I read it because normally when a bush is on fire, it will burn. In this case, God consumed the bush, but it didn’t burn.

This can teach us that the presence of God is nothing to play with. It is a holy place; one where reverence is of utmost importance and it is in that place that our faith is refined. I’m reminded of when Moses went to the top of mount Sinai and met with God. When Moses came down, his face was glowing as a result of being in the presence of God. Scripture says, “When Moses came down from Mount Sinai, with the two tablets of the testimony in his hand as he came down from the mountain, Moses did not know that the skin of his face shone because he had been talking with God (Exodus‬ ‭34:29‬).

Becauee Christ lives in us, our lives show glow becauee we have experienced God. We can’t take it for granted that meeting with God is a holy moment. So holy, in fact, that Moses took of his shoes while at the burning bush. Imagine if we had that same level of reverence. Our faith would grow astronomically. When we really understand the weight of the holy place, we will grasp that when pain comes, instead of letting it control us, we would welcome it and understand that we can overcome it!!

I pray that we spend time with God and pursuing to learn more about Him and His Majesty. I hope this encourages us all and challgenes us to grow in our walk.

Much Love,

Ryan W.
