Food For The Soul | @ryanmw92 @trackstarz

What is going on everyone!! So this week. I just wanted to talk about a different way to experience God. I want to submit to you all that we should experience God like food. That’s right, food. Track with me, and I hope by the end of this, we can all learn something about growing with the Lord in a new way.

Have you ever had an amazing dinner?? Like a dinner that made you think about it even after you finished it? To be honest, that is me most of the time I have a meal hahahaha. But one time specifically, I remember when I had the most amazing chicken parmesan I have ever had!! Y’all when I tell you that it was like the Holy Spirit came down, He really did and this meal blessed my soul!!! Not only did I post a picture of the meal, I told all of my friends about this place and how much of a priority it was to go this place and try this dinner. I was like a walking promotion commercial for this restaurant. I hope I am not alone in this, but if I am, then so be it hahahahaha.

I remember thinking about this meal I had, even way after I already got home. I was talking about it for hours after dinner, so much so, that I annoyed my girlfriend because she wanted to talk about something else but I wasn’t having it. This plate of food had captured my attention.

But then God hit me with this. He said, “Ryan, I am so glad you experienced food this good, but it doesn’t compare to how I want you to experience Me. I created that food. The same way you broadcasted about that plate, you need to broadcast about Me, and what I have done for your life”. Instantly I was floored. It is so easy to get caught up in how good we look on social media, or how good our food is, or anything like that, but even more so we should be broadcasters of how deeply we have experienced the presence and the glory of God. Scripture says, “Taste and see that the Lord is good” (Psalm 34:8).  To me, this scripture says that in the same way we taste and experience the satisfaction of the food we are eating, that is how God desires us to experience Him.

We can’t expect to go all day without eating. Personally speaking, if I go until about 10 o’clock in the morning without eating, I start feeling terrible and I get hunger headaches. When I get to that point, I am desperate to eat food. The same way should be with “eating” with Jesus. We shouldn’t have this mentality that we can wait to read our bibles or pray or spend time with God whenever we get a chance. If we have that passive mentality, then we won’t be able to walk through life with the same power or energy.

Ultimately, I hope this encourages and challenges us all to really press in and dig into Jesus like we dig into our dinner. Let our relationship with God be something we can fill up on as well as something we broadcast of how good He is to us. I pray this helps to give some clarity on growing with God as well.

Much Love,

Ryan W.
