“And this is God’s plan: Both Gentiles and Jews who believe the Good News share equally in the riches inherited by God’s children. Both are part of the same body, and both enjoy the promise of blessings because they belong to Christ Jesus. By God’s grace and mighty power, I have been given the privilege of serving him by spreading this Good News. Though I am the least deserving of all God’s people, he graciously gave me the privilege of telling the Gentiles about the endless treasures available to them in Christ. I was chosen to explain to everyone this mysterious plan that God, the Creator of all things, had kept secret from the beginning. God’s purpose in all this was to use the church to display his wisdom in its rich variety to all the unseen rulers and authorities in the heavenly places. This was his eternal plan, which he carried out through Christ Jesus our Lord. Because of Christ and our faith in him, we can now come boldly and confidently into God’s presence.”
‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭3:6-12‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Last week we talked about the Christian life not being a life of ease. It’s not just about getting what you want and living your best life now. Will we get thing to we like and enjoy? Yes. Of course we will, but that’s not the purpose of life. The purpose is to glorify God regardless if you get those things or not. It’s not a life of ease, but a life of work.

The ease part for a Christian comes on the front and on the back end. The middle is where we work. The back end of ease is hearing Christ say, “Well done good and faithful servant. Enter into the joy of the Lord.” We can enter those pearly gates of Heaven to dwell with God forever. I want to focus on the front end. The front end is how we get our foot in the door.

As I said our Christian life is a life of work. Unlike other religions we don’t work to earn our spot in Heaven or to get favor with God. We work for God out of gratitude for the finished work of Jesus Christ. We’re not trying to earn enough brownie points to get God to do anything for us. He’s already done it all.

“But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭5:8‬ ‭NLT‬‬

While we were still out in the world trippin’ God had already paid the price for us to be redeemed from our sins. We didn’t have to wait. While weren’t even thinking about Him God was thinking about us. Now all we have to do is confess with our mouth and believe in our heart Jesus Christ is Lord and was raised from the dead. He forgives our sins and now we have access to God through the blood of Christ.

He did the heavy lifting for us to make access to His throne easy. Now we can come to His throne of grace to find help in the time of need. His grace is sufficient for us and His strength is made perfect in our weakness. All that we need is there for us, because now we have access.

That leads us to our Throwback Song of the Week. We’re taking it back to 2005 with Canton Jones and his album “Access Granted: The Password”. The featured track is is called “The Password”. Tune into the Trackstarz show this week to hear DJ Jeremaya play this for the Throwback Song of the Day. Until next time…

Peace and blessings,
