A New Home #TBT | Throwback Theology | @truthonduty @damo_seayn3d @trackstarz

““Don’t let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God, and trust also in me. There is more than enough room in my Father’s home. If this were not so, would I have told you that I am going to prepare a place for you? When everything is ready, I will come and get you, so that you will always be with me where I am. And you know the way to where I am going.” “No, we don’t know, Lord,” Thomas said. “We have no idea where you are going, so how can we know the way?” Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me. If you had really known me, you would know who my Father is. From now on, you do know him and have seen him!””
John 14:1-7 NLT

This world is not our home. As simple of a statement as that is it can be hard to digest at times. Why? Because this world is the only one we really know. It’s not like we’ve lived on another one. This is all we know. Even if we’ve lived in different countries or maybe you were a military brat and bounced around a lot. This is the only planet you’ve lived on…I hope. 👽

As believers we are reminded through scripture that this place is not our home. That we really are just passing through. Sojourners on our way to our heavenly home. After we receive Christ each day that goes by we are closer to our final destination of Heaven.

We are in this world, but not of this world. When we receive Christ we are to look at our lives as dying and buried with Him. Then we are raised again to a new life. When you get saved nothing physically changed about you. If you’re Black you’re still Black. If you had long, blonde hair you still have long blonde hair. The change was on the inside.

You were dead, your inner man was raised from the dead and reconnected to God. Just like Christ died, He resurrected and went back to the Father in Heaven. We have a new glorified body that is to come that is waiting for us in our new home. Now that we know we are citizens of God’s kingdom we can live this life differently knowing on the inside that Heaven is our home.

That leads us to our Throwback Theology Song of the Week. This song comes from Da T.R.U.T.H. The featured song is from his 2004 album, “Moment of Truth.” The featured song is an acapella solo called “Resurrection.” Tune into Trackstarz to hear DJ Jeremaya spin this for the Throwback Theology Song of the Day. Until next time…

Peace blessings,
