Slip Out Before Pride Slips In | @chicangeorge @trackstarz

John 5:13” The man who was healed had no idea who it was, for Jesus had slipped away into the crowd that was there.”

After Christ had healed the man by the pool, the man was so grateful that he went to go tell others about what Christ had done for him. Christ decided to slip away within the crowd to not get caught up in the excitement and/or take away glory from His Father. The thing that many of us miss is that He slipped away back into the crowd. He wasn’t trying to be seen. It didn’t matter if He had received the credit. He just wanted to get back into the crowd.

This week, I ask that you have a real Mirror Moment with yourself:

Am I slipping out when Pride comes into a situation?
Am I only helping people to get attention?
Am I doing ministry for myself or God?

It’s my prayer that you learn to serve and slip rather than to slip on your selfishness. Spread The Soup!
