Silence is Golden | @ryanmw92 @trackstarz

What’s going on everyone!! Man, this week, I’ve been so mentally busy, thinking of everything in my life from career to where I want to plant my life. A lot of times for me, I can get into this daze of consistently thinking and planning, that I can easily leave God out. But, what brings me out of that funk and confusion is silence. Silence is truly golden when it comes to our relationship with God. We can get so bombarded with noise, that we can miss what God is trying to say to us.

I am reminded of the verse in Psalms 46:10 that says, “Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth”. This is so challenging  because I believe with all the distractions going on, we have to exercise discipline to have that quiet time with the Lord. Scripture also explains, “For God alone, O my soul, wait in silence, for my hope is from him.” (Psalms 62:5). This is so strong because it portrays the positioning of our hearts that we need so desperately. Our strength comes from the quiet, intimate time with our Savior. Even Jesus would take time away to be in His time with His Father.

We should draw our strength from the silence with Christ. Personally speaking, when I have that time with God, I walk through my days with so much more peace and I can hear God so much clearer. He is the one who gives us wisdom, so we have to position ourselves to hear from Him with clarity.

I hope this can relate to all of you all. It’s a small peek into my life and what I go through on a daily basis. I pray that we all can maneuver ourselves to hear God with clarity and to really take time to be silent to hear God’s voice.

Much Love,

Ryan W.
