We are human, but we don’t wage war as humans do. We use God’s mighty weapons, not worldly weapons, to knock down the strongholds of human reasoning and to destroy false arguments. We destroy every proud obstacle that keeps people from knowing God. We capture their rebellious thoughts and teach them to obey Christ. And after you have become fully obedient, we will punish everyone who remains disobedient.

‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭10:3-6‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Something is definitely coming down the pike. Just looking at the things God has been having me to share over the last several weeks. As I’ve stated before, it’s all in preparation. When things just happen that you’re not prepared for it can really be to you’re detriment. God is faithful and is always leading and guiding to get us into position for what is next. Now we can make choices to not follow God’s leading, but even in our unfaithfulness God is still faithful to do what He said.

We’ve talked about getting prepared for the next step in our journey, but let’s look at that from a different aspect. Let’s get on the offensive this time. It’s like the whole armor of God. Most of the pieces described in Ephesians are defensive. You have the helmet, the breastplate and the shield. All designed to protect against attacks. We have salvation to guard our minds, righteousness to guard what’s going on the inside of us, the gospel allows us to walk in peace and then we are shielded by the faith.

Last, but certainly not least, we have the sword of the Spirit which is the word of God. God’s word is our offense. Jesus shows us this when He’s in the garden after fasting. The devil comes to tempt Him, but He fights off each attempt with scripture. This is our weapon. We correctly apply the word of God to our situations to fight against the enemy. The weapons of our warfare are not carnal or natural. It’s not knives, guns or bombs. It is the explosive power of God’s word at work in our lives. We make our preparation through knowing God through prayer and His word there is nothing we can’t face. Whatever obstacles are in our way tell them to get ready. We are coming through with FORCE!
