Rainy Days #TBT | Throwback Theology | @shadkmusic @damo_seayn3d @trackstarz

“For he gives his sunlight to both the evil and the good, and he sends rain on the just and the unjust alike.”

Matthew 5:45 NLT

It would be nice if life was all sunny days, walks in the park and chillin’ in the meadows. Unfortunately, it’s not. Life can be hard and sometimes just downright difficult. Life situations come and can be hard to deal with. It gets tough to navigate through life.

Days get dark and it’s hard to see the next step. Even the most devout believer can feel like God has left them hanging out to dry. While all of this seemingly leads to the conclusion that it’s time to bail on this God stuff it ought not be so. This is actually the time to dig in your heels and press into God even more.

Sometimes we like to run off our list of the things we’ve done for God as a means of saying we don’t deserve certain things to happen to us. This is good cue to remember that our relationship with Christ is not based on merit. Ephesians 2 says that it’s not of works, so none of us have a reason to boast.

It is believing in what Christ did for us that we are able to stand in the grace of God. Bad things are going to come, but it’s in these time that we can kick into our reserve. When we’re going through and we’re at our weakest God’s grace can make us strong. Whether you’re saved or a sinner the trials of life are going to come, but God’s grace makes the difference for you to be able to endure the storm.

That leads us to our Throwback Theology Song of the Week. This is from rapper Shad. This is from his 2010 project called “TSOL.” The featured track is called “Rose Garden.” Tune into the Trackstarz show this week to hear DJ Jeremaya spin this for the Throwback Theology Song of the Day. Until next time…

Peace and blessings,
