Rachel Renee is a Christian songwriter and vocal performance graduate who “started writing music when a lifetime struggle with fear and depression brought her to her knees.” I was honored to sit down with Rachel and hear her story of encouragement, hope and victory. Not only does her story bring hope, so does her voice. Rachel has been gifted with such a beautiful voice. It is a voice of an Angel.
In her video, God Who Heals, Rachel speaks from the view point of God talking and how He heals. It reminded me of the Daily Devotional by Sarah Young entitled, Jesus Calling. You can feel Jesus speaking to your heart. You know some days when you’re on the road out driving and a song on Air1 or The Fish come on, and it’s just at the right time? A Divine time with words you just need to hear in that moment? This song is that type of song and I was able to hear it at just the right time. God Who Heals
At different points in our lives, we have things or situations we fear. Some fear on a daily basis. The idea of getting in front of a group and performing is fearful. Seasoned artists have said, they still fear when they get on stage or get nervous to this very day. In essence, we all have experienced fear. Fear doesn’t come from God and wasn’t meant for us to deal with on a daily basis. By knowing Christ, we can be free of fear. In knowing God, He reveals His Character, His Promises and Truths. Rachel’s music invites you into these Promises, Truths and His Character. Some of her “songs are testimonial while others portray surrender, trusting, waiting, remembering, believing in the Almighty God. Others simply lift high the name of Christ and His work on the cross.” I am thankful that God continues to use her music to touch not only myself but others. When you take the needed time out to listen, God gives you the lyrics.
Rachel sings across the globe sharing the love of Christ through her music. She plans to join CHH artist B-Fade who just dropped his album All Things Are Possible at one of his shows. Keep an eye out for events on Reverbnation.com and all their social media outlets!
