Legacy Kickback in Louisville | @visionnehemiah @sojourn_midtown @kennyfresh1025 @trackstarz

A little over a week ago I was blessed with the opportunity to attend one of the Legacy Kickbacks, an informal event that allows people to come and sit and learn about Legacy Conference. This particular Kickback was in Louisville, KY at the Sojourn Midtown Church. I’ve been there before for a concert as well as other visits, so I was fairly familiar with the building. I saw some of the members that I knew as well as other believers I knew, such as Pastor Scott Long, his church hosted Shepherd’s “The Intern Tour” stop in Louisville that I wrote about here. I introduced myself to some other people I didn’t know and sat down to enjoy the Kickback.

Brian Dye, the face and voice of Legacy Conference, blessed the food and encouraged us to meet people we may not have known. After a few minutes he got up to speak and gave a great lecture on discipleship. He started by giving us his testimony and the direct effect that discipleship had on his life. It was very clear during this talk that discipleship and the process of discipline someone was more than just a Christian buzzword to Brian. He pointed us to the Holy scriptures how discipleship was a command.

This was my first time hearing Brian Dye speak, but I could see why so many artists in the genre of Christian Hip Hop lent their platforms and their voices to esteem Legacy Conference so much. Discipleship is our mission and Brian and the Legacy staff have made it their mission to equip the saints to have what we need to accomplish the mission and command of Jesus Christ. I left inspired, convicted, and challenged, and if you attend one of the kickbacks, I promise you’ll feel the same way.

Be sure to visit legacydisciple.org to keep up with the list of kickbacks and maybe even consider partnering with Legacy Conference by donating your finances or your time as a volunteer for one of the conferences.
