Be Great Today | @ryanmw92 @trackstarz

What’s going on everyone!! So this week, I want to encourage us all around being great TODAY. Don’t wait until you get older, or wait for the stars to align to give your best. I know this week already has been challenging for me with work. I have been realizing more and more of what I have a burning passion for. I love helping people, but I love to write. I firmly believe that when you have a burning passion for something, you have to work at it with all you have every day. You have to get better at honing that craft, and making sacrifices if you really desire to pursue that thing.

First of all, the primary goal of our desires is to glorify Jesus and make His name known in the earth. Matthew 28:19 explains this, as it says that we should go forth and make disciples around the world. When the world sees how passionate and how we love people, it will show them that they are loved by their Creator as well (John 13:35). When our main goal is to glorify the Lord with our gifts, He will in turn bless us and continually grow us. Don’t get it twisted though, that Jesus is some huge magic creator. He just desires for us to give our all to the gifts He has given us.

Second of all, we should really give our all every day. Granted, things come up and life happens, but overall, we should give our best in the day. Carpe Diem is a statement that comes to mind. It means to seize the day; to take advantage of every opportunity given. Jesus tells us that “My grace is sufficient for you (2 Corinthians 12:9). Scripture comforts us, declaring, “So do not worry about tomorrow; it will have enough worries of its own. There is no need to add to the troubles each day brings” (Matthew 6:34). These scriptures encourage us to not concern ourselves with the issues of tomorrow to the point of distress, but to rather have peace that we are and will be taken care of by the Grand Provider.

We don’t have to wait until everything becomes perfect for us to give our all. Jesus teaches us from His example to live on purpose, and to not waste our lives. I am reminded of a song which I forget, but the words are extremely soul hitting. The words say, “The world is dying to know who You are”. This hit me like a ton of bricks. Essentially, these words are challenging me, and should challenge us, to show the world who Jesus is, while using the gifts and passions that He gave us. So, BE GREAT TODAY!!!

Much love.
