Death Has No Victory #TBT | #MarkOfTheEast | @coreyred @damo_seayn3d @trackstarz

“Then, when our dying bodies have been transformed into bodies that will never die, this Scripture will be fulfilled: “Death is swallowed up in victory. O death, where is your victory? O death, where is your sting? ” For sin is the sting that results in death, and the law gives sin its power. But thank God! He gives us victory over sin and death through our Lord Jesus Christ. So, my dear brothers and sisters, be strong and immovable. Always work enthusiastically for the Lord, for you know that nothing you do for the Lord is ever useless.”

1 Corinthians 15:54-58 NLT

It’s really important to find and fulfill your destiny in this life, because you only get one shot. Despite some popular beliefs you’re not coming back as another person or a cow or a butterfly try at it again. You get one chance, but despite that you’re allowed to make mistakes. Mistakes, while we want to avoid them, help you along the way to getting on the right path for your life. Then you can also use them to help others to get on their path. The main thing is getting there. How you get there is not as important as getting there.

God has a plan uniquely for you. You can sidestep it, avoid or flat out run in the opposite direction of it, but it doesn’t stop what God has set in motion for you. Some people get to it early and some get to it late, but at the end of the day all that matters is that you get there. Now I’m simply talking about the assignment God has for you individually. Not to be confused with Jesus being the only way to the Father. We all have different experiences that get us to Jesus, but that important thing is getting to Christ. He is the only way and His truth is the only truth.

We are on this journey and regardless of what assignment we are here to accomplish knowing Christ is essential to that goal. Christ leads and guides you in that assignment. Knowing Christ and walking in His plan for your life eliminates one big thing we all have to deal with – death. It’s the BIG known unknown. We all know about it, but it’s not like we have a number we can call to ask what it’s like. Because of it being something unknown coupled with it is fear. Not knowing what will happen to you afterwards. Fear of the unknown. The key to it is a relationship with Christ. We get connected to Christ. We put our trust in Him that He is preparing a place for us, but while we are here we have a work to do for Him. He doesn’t just leave us. He gives us His Holy Spirit to assure us that we are children of the Most High God. This blessed assurance eliminates the fear of death.

It doesn’t matter how we go. I like the way Phanatik put it in his verse on the song “R&R”:

So death is not my enemy anymore, it’s only a key to a door
So hit me with a shotty a Maserati a pestilence or sword
Me absent from the body means I’m present with the Lord

Death can bring whatever it wants. Jesus death and resurrection has given us the victory through our faith in Him. We’re not working to obtain favor or getting anything from God. We are in the place of victory and work to show our gratitude to our risen savior. So death bring it on, because we’re ready to see the King.

That leads us to our Throwback Song of the Week. We’re taking over the ‘99 and 2000’s on this joint. LoL. We’re going to the east coast to a classic compilation album called “Mark of the East.” It features a humongous roster of CHH artists out of New York. The featured track is called “Six Million Ways” and features Corey Red, Real, R.A.I.N., Da Meek One, Precise & Miz. Tune into the Trackstarz radio show this Saturday to hear DJ Jeremaya spin this for the Throwback Song of the Day. Until next time…

Peace and blessings,

Damo
