Dear “Christian” Pt.2 | @ryanmw92 @trackstarz

What’s going on everyone!! So this week, I had some responses to part 1 of Dear “Christian”, so I had to do a part 2. Please understand, I am proud to have a relationship with Jesus, but there are some things that frustrate me a lot about the faith, or lack there of. However, this week, I would like to come at it from a different perspective. I want to write a letter to the world from the point of view of a believer, and what I would like for people to know.

Dear World,

Not every “Christian” is weird. We have hobbies other than reading the Bible. We don’t just have bible study 24/7. Personally, I love playing basketball and arcades. We are real people who like to have fun outside the church (although my church is LIT). We are just like everyone else, living life and trying to navigate through it.

Dear World,

Not every Christian judges people that are different or “unsaved”. The real Jesus followers are people that are in need of grace and compassion, so we have no room to judge. We realize that we have been saved from our sins, so we have no place to judge someone else just because they sin differently. You are welcome no matter how you are. We have a genuine mentality of come as you are.

Dear World,

Some of us actually hate it when “Christians” pray extremely loud and very showtime. It isn’t cool nor it is a good representation of our faith. That actually goes against what we believe. Even Jesus says, “And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full” (Matthew 6:5). Most of us actually don’t like to broadcast how spiritual we are. We just live and let our light shine and be genuine people.
