Building Up Belivers | 52verses52weeks| @chicangeorge @trackstarz

Jude 1:20“But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost.”

One of the best things that believers of the gospel can do is build each other up. One of the best ways to think about it is from a bodybuilder’s perspective. As he/she starts lifting weights, they have a spotter. First off, they find the max they can lift and then begin to train for the next level (next amount that is their max). The spotter helps them get the weights off the bench and motivate the lifter to push to attempt to lift and complete their set. Once the lifter feels comfortable, they tell their spotter to “add more weight to their bar.” This is how we should be with those around us.

We should be motivating and pushing those around us to “lift” their current faith, prayer and studying in the word. When they max out on the level that they are on, then we should help by showing them more ways to increase where they currently are. Everyone needs a “spotter” in their life to help them be held accountable and encouraging them for growth in the faith.

Take time out and find the answers to these Mirror Moments:

Am I building those up around me or am I tearing them down?

Am I a good spotter?

Do I have a spotter?
